Naofumi Matsushita said Team Asano added a settings option to reduce fairy companion Faie’s dialogue after demo players complained she talked too much in The Adventures of Elliot.
Player feedback from last year’s debut demo also drove broader quality-of-life changes, including faster menu access, easier Magicite load-outs, higher base movement speed and 4 difficulty options.
Matsushita said the team was surprised by the backlash because developers had grown attached to Faie during the long production and did not initially see her constant chatter as a problem.
