ColorOS 17 is tipped to bring a system-wide visual overhaul in Q4 2026, extending glass-like layers, rounded corners and real-time lighting effects across menus, alerts and OPPO’s Fluid Cloud interface.
The leak says OPPO is using a lower-refraction “liquid acrylic” style rather than full Liquid Glass, aiming to cut GPU load, improve text readability and reduce battery drain.
Reported under-the-hood changes include better CPU allocation, stronger RAM management, fewer frame drops and smoother camera zoom transitions, suggesting the update is not purely cosmetic.
The software is expected to debut on the Find X10 series in China before a wider rollout, with eligible devices likely spanning recent Find X, Find N and Reno models.
OPPO joins Vivo, Xiaomi, Realme and Samsung in adopting Apple-inspired visuals, while Google remains the notable holdout and Apple’s own iOS 26 rollout has drawn criticism over legibility.
