Tutorial videos buried in Pico’s public SDK exposed Project Swan, showing a flagship XR headset with a separate battery pack and woven headstrap.
Luna, a frequent hardware leaker who said the videos are authentic, surfaced footage suggesting a design influenced by Apple Vision Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy XR.
Pico has already said the device will weigh 270g and use microOLED panels at 4,000 pixels per inch, with optics delivering about 40 pixels per degree and a center sweet spot above 45 PPD.
March disclosures said Swan will pair custom XR silicon with a flagship SoC offering more than 2x CPU and GPU performance versus XR2 Gen 2, targeting a global launch in late 2026.
Qualcomm this week teased a next-generation Snapdragon XR chip for standalone headsets, fueling speculation Swan could be among the first devices to use it.
