Summary
At least 120 developers — about 12% of the Rainbow Six Siege team at Ubisoft Montreal — are being moved off the game, with another 50 shifted from Rainbow Six Siege Mobile and an unannounced project.
Ubisoft said the changes reflect normal team-size and resource adjustments as projects move through development and live-operations stages, adding that Rainbow Six Siege remains a strong brand.
The moves are not currently layoffs, but sources told Insider Gaming they could still precede further job cuts, and Ubisoft has not said which projects the affected staff will join next.
The reshuffle adds to pressure on Ubisoft, where workforce reductions and studio closures have already raised concerns about the company’s broader priorities and pipeline.
