It does not guarantee visa approval, does not change eligibility rules, and does not remove the added screening measures that have helped create the delays in the first place. Those measures include expanded social media checks, broader background vetting, bond requirements for some applicants, and other compliance reviews. If those steps remain slow, paying more only moves the applicant faster to the interview stage. The larger concern is equity. A premium lane can reduce pressure for those who can afford it, but it also creates a two-tier system in which speed becomes something applicants buy. That is especially significant when standard waits in some cities remain well over a year. So the program may be useful as a limited convenience tool, but it is not a structural answer to visa delays. It is mainly a new fee for faster access to an appointment, not faster entry into the United States.
