Nintendo Sets 50-Minute June 9 Direct for Switch 2 Holiday Lineup

June 9 at 10 a.m. ET, Nintendo will stream a roughly 50-minute Direct, followed by a 95-minute Treehouse Live, in what looks set to be its biggest broad showcase in months.
The event is expected to clarify the Switch 2 release slate beyond summer, with Star Fox due June 25, Rhythm Heaven Groove on July 2, and Splatoon Raiders on July 23 but little confirmed after that.
Nintendo also has Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave penciled in for 2026 without a date, while the next Pokémon title is not due until next year.
That leaves the showcase carrying extra weight as Nintendo raises Switch 2 prices and needs a stronger holiday lineup for the now more expensive console.
