August 27 is the release date for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy on PS5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
Focus Entertainment and Asobo Studio set the price at $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on consoles, with the game also launching on Game Pass.
Set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem, the game follows Sophia, a young plunderer fleeing an army while uncovering her past on the Minotaur's Island.
The new entry mixes combat, parries and stealth with puzzle-solving using a stolen Minoan sphere, while shifting between Sophia's era and ancient Minoan times.
Focus says the story expands the A Plague Tale universe through the Macula's legacy and a curse tied to a creature stalking the island's depths.
