Summary
Surfshark said its VPN infrastructure now spans more than 3,200 servers across 100-plus countries, giving users in Egypt and the wider MENA region broader location choice and lower congestion.
The expansion targets rising demand driven by privacy concerns, geo-blocked content, cybersecurity risks and inconsistent connection performance, with nearby nodes in places such as Turkey and the UAE aimed at reducing latency.
Surfshark said it discloses virtual server locations and uses RAM-only physical servers, a setup designed to improve transparency and erase data when machines lose power.
Independent tests cited in the report showed Surfshark often preserved 80% to 90% of base speeds in 2024 and 2025, with Egypt users typically seeing 150 to 300 Mbps on European or U.S. connections.
The company is also pitching specialty tools including MultiHop, static IP and IP Rotator, plus unlimited simultaneous device connections and long-term plans priced around $2 to $3 a month.
