ArenaNet gave PC Gamer a formal "no comment" after the official Guild Wars accounts posted a cryptic teaser pointing to a June 5 reveal at Summer Game Fest 2026.
The video used fantasy concept art and the line "The wind stirs. The world shifts. Stand ready," while cross-posts from both Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 accounts fueled sequel speculation.
That reading gained traction because Guild Wars 2's latest expansion is still rolling out, making a routine expansion tease seem less likely than a bigger project.
Other possibilities remain, including a spin-off tied to a 2024 SteamDB leak for "Lion's Arch: GuildWars Arena," which had been linked to NCSoft hiring for a collectible card game.
The teaser's broad "big things in the games industry are brewing" language leaves the announcement unconfirmed, with clarity expected when Summer Game Fest begins on June 5.
