Summary
Twenty-eight young people have moved into full-time work through Peterborough United Foundation's Youth Employment Hub since it opened in October at the club's stadium.
The hub has supported 394 people aged 16 to 24 with CV writing, confidence building, interview preparation and job matching, and 250 have contacted it since April as demand rises.
Dean Watson, the hub's manager, said many applicants are sending 10 or 15 job applications a week but still need extra help with mental health, training, benefits or housing before they can secure work.
Peterborough still had 1,500 young people not in education, employment or training in January, while UK youth unemployment is at its highest level in more than 12 years.
The project is part of the government's £45 million Youth Guarantee scheme, with staff arguing it shows young people want jobs but often need clearer routes and broader support.
