Crimea halted all cash gasoline sales for several days on June 4, stopped issuing new fuel coupons and limited existing coupons to 20 litres.
Long lines at filling stations have spread across the Russian-held peninsula after Ukrainian drone strikes constricted fuel deliveries from adjoining Russian-controlled territory in southeast Ukraine.
Sergei Aksyonov, the Kremlin-installed regional head, said the tighter curbs expand rationing first imposed on May 31 and blamed unspecified "difficult circumstances."
Ukraine has repeatedly targeted fuel infrastructure near Crimea to strain Russia's war logistics and revenues, and Russian-appointed authorities said fresh drone attacks on the peninsula on Thursday killed four people.
