Samsung has issued its May security update, version AZE1, for millions of Galaxy phones worldwide to close a critical Android vulnerability that can let attackers run code remotely.
Google identified the flaw as a zero-click exploit, meaning devices could be compromised without users tapping links, downloading files or granting permissions.
The 544 MB patch covers flagship Galaxy S25, S24 and S23 models and may apply to older and mid-range devices, alongside minor stability and performance improvements.
US rollout details reported earlier showed the May 2026 update reaching carrier-locked Galaxy S24 and S23 phones, with fixes spanning 39 Android CVEs and Samsung-specific issues.
Samsung is urging users to install the update immediately through Settings > Software Update and keep Play system updates and automatic updates enabled.
