Jill Biden used a New York book event Wednesday to answer former White House spokesman Andrew Bates, saying, “Call me up, and say it to my face, buddy,” after he criticized her memoir for reopening 2024 election wounds.
Biden defended “View from the East Wing” by saying it contains only one chapter on politics, even as she revisited Joe Biden’s 2024 debate collapse and his decision to seek reelection.
On the same tour, she said she was campaigning and not at Camp David for debate preparations, adding she would have been honest with her husband if she had seen his condition beforehand.
Her latest remarks extend a broader reassessment of 2024 after she said on “The View” a day earlier that, based on what she knows now, Joe Biden would not have been able to serve another four years.
