32 years to life was imposed on Nick Pasqual on Tuesday after his conviction for attempted murder and forcible rape in the 2024 attack on ex-girlfriend Allie Shehorn.
Los Angeles jurors found the 36-year-old actor also guilty of first-degree residential burglary and abuse-related counts after prosecutors said he broke into Shehorn's Sunland home and stabbed her more than 20 times.
Shehorn, a Hollywood makeup artist, testified with scars on her neck and arms; the attack left wounds to her throat, back, chest and wrists and required 14 hours of emergency surgery followed by intensive care.
The case underscored prior warning signs: Pasqual had been arrested for domestic violence, released on $50,000 bond, and Shehorn had obtained a restraining order days before the stabbing.
After the attack, Pasqual fled California and was detained at the U.S.-Mexico border in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
