Fetterman Brands Maine Democrat Platner a 'Creep' as Sexting and Tattoo Scandal Engulfs 1 Senate Race

John Fetterman escalated Democratic scrutiny of Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, calling him a “creep” and “Nazi sympathizer” over reported sexting, a Kik account and a tattoo resembling a Nazi symbol.
CNN said a Kik account named “phustle0331” appears to belong to Platner, while The New York Times and Wall Street Journal reported his wife had alerted campaign staff to sexual texts with other women.
Platner met Senate Democrats in Washington for about 90 minutes Tuesday but avoided reporters afterward; Chuck Schumer said only that Democrats would beat Susan Collins and retake the Senate.
Other Democrats largely stopped short of condemning Platner, with Kirsten Gillibrand calling it a good meeting, Bernie Sanders downplaying the revelations and Ben Ray Luján urging him to answer voters’ questions.
The dispute lands in a must-win Maine race for Democrats’ Senate hopes, with Fetterman declining to say whether he would back Platner if he becomes the nominee.
