Captain Doctor Ori Yosef Silvester, 30, of Tel Aviv was killed in combat in southern Lebanon after explosive drones hit an IDF Namer armored personnel carrier.
Around six Hezbollah drones were launched at troops on Monday afternoon, with the blasts on the APC also severely wounding two officers and one soldier.
One soldier was moderately wounded, while two officers and one soldier were lightly wounded; the Shaked Battalion commander, a lieutenant colonel, was among the lightly injured.
All wounded troops were evacuated to hospital and their families were notified, as the strike underscored Hezbollah's continued drone threat to Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.
