  • £234,000 plus tax buys the new AC Cobra GT Coupe, a fixed-roof version of the Cobra GT Roadster that AC Cars positions as a grand tourer rather than a stripped-out track car.
  • 720 hp and 605 lb-ft are available from a supercharged 5.0-litre Ford V8, cutting 0-60 mph to under 3.5 seconds; a 450-hp naturally aspirated version is also offered.
  • 4.2 metres long and about 1,600 kg, the coupe uses carbon fibre, a Kamm tail and styling inspired by AC's 1964 A98 Le Mans racer, while keeping a leather-trimmed cabin with climate control and navigation.
  • 1,000 cars a year is AC's longer-term ceiling across all models, up from about 100 hand-built cars currently, though the company says GT Coupe production itself will remain extremely limited.
