Bella Hadid pushed against Cannes' no-nudity dress code with two revealing festival looks: a plunging custom Schiaparelli gown at the L’Âge de Fer premiere and a sheer vintage top worn earlier in the week.
The Schiaparelli dress, inspired by Jane Birkin’s 1969 style, used trompe l’oeil lace and a neckline that dropped below Hadid’s belly button, leaving the gown’s compliance with festival rules open to question.
Her street look extended the same challenge off the red carpet — a sequined, tie-front sheer blouse from Australian vintage reseller Preluvd layered over a see-through nude bra.
