Goop has carried out another round of layoffs, with staff cuts tied to a push to replace roles with A.I. and improve profitability, according to reports cited by Puck and Emily Sundberg.
Gwyneth Paltrow, 53, reportedly led the meeting announcing the cuts, while a company spokesperson said Goop is adapting to a shifting landscape and operating more efficiently.
Moj Mahdara has been brought in as a consultant to help stabilize the business, adding to signs the wellness brand is under pressure despite Paltrow saying 2024 cuts put it back in growth mode.
Around 50 employees were cut in two waves in late 2024, and the latest layoffs have triggered fresh online backlash from critics who called the move greedy and questioned demand for Goop's products.
