Bee Shaffer, 38, and Francesco Carrozzini, 43, said in a joint statement that they have separated after 10 years together and eight years of marriage.
Diverging career paths drove the split, they said, adding that they remain close friends and committed to amicably coparenting their 4-year-old son, Oliver.
The breakup became public less than two weeks after the pair attended the May 4 Met Gala together, where Shaffer was photographed still wearing her wedding band.
Shaffer, Anna Wintour’s daughter, married Carrozzini in 2018 at Wintour’s home in Mastic, New York, before a second celebration in Portofino, Italy.
