Sept. 13 at 8:20 p.m. ET, the Giants will host the Cowboys at MetLife Stadium in the 2026 Sunday Night Football opener, NBC announced on the Today show.
The matchup marks the eighth time in the past 15 seasons that the NFC East rivals have opened a campaign against each other, giving NBC one of the league's most reliable ratings draws.
New storylines include Dak Prescott facing Jaxson Dart, John Harbaugh's first home game in New York, and a rebuilt Giants roster testing an overhauled Cowboys defense under coordinator Christian Parker.
The opener is one of the first 2026 matchups to be revealed ahead of the full NFL schedule release on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
