Israeli music-industry figures cast doubt on Kanye West’s mooted Israel concert, despite reports this week that he is negotiating terms for a performance.
Producer Gadi Oron said he rejected an approach about two months ago because West’s proposed 360-degree show required Ramat Gan Stadium, which was unavailable on the requested dates and posed other logistical problems.
Oron said West is pushing for Israel after several European countries rejected him, complicating plans for a broader European tour where the market is strongest.
The bid also faces reputational resistance: Tel Aviv club owner Shaul Mizrahi called bringing West to Israel “in bad taste” and threatened a boycott of any producer who books him.
The backlash comes after West’s 2022 antisemitic remarks and 2025 Nazi-themed content; he later met an Israeli rabbi, published a 2026 apology and said he wanted time to prove its sincerity.
Is Kanye West's planned Israel show a sincere apology or a multi-million dollar rebranding effort?
Banned from the UK, can a performance in Israel truly redeem Kanye West after his antisemitic scandals?
