Britney Spears' Rep Denies Knife Incident at Sherman Oaks Dinner as TMZ Alleges Erratic Behavior

Rolling Stone published a statement Thursday from Britney Spears’ representative saying she never endangered anyone at a Sherman Oaks restaurant and was only cutting a hamburger in half.
The denial answered reports that Spears was “erratic” during dinner with her assistant and bodyguard, after journalist Jeffrey Sneider called the outing a “wild experience” and said one diner feared for her life.
TMZ then reported Spears raised her voice, barked, walked around holding a knife and tried to light a cigarette near the front door — claims her representative said were being “completely blown out of proportion.”
The spokesperson cast the episode as part of a long-running media pattern, coming a month after Spears pleaded guilty to a wet reckless misdemeanor and accepted 12 months’ probation, treatment meetings and a 3-month DUI class.
