Nine staff departures were approved in the May employment report, including the retirement of Meadowlark Elementary paraprofessional Gina Gonzalez and eight resignations across teaching, counseling, coaching and transportation roles.
Three personnel recommendations accompanied the exits: Sarah Walker was named head girls basketball coach at CCMS, Britta Crawford was hired as district psychologist, and Lori Byrd became head volleyball coach at BHS.
Three transfers were also approved, moving Cory Pickett to CCMS, Stephanie Townsend to a Title I role at CPES, and Melodie Gross to librarian K-5.
Most changes take effect at the end of the 2025-26 school year, though several coaching resignations and one bus driver resignation were approved for immediate or near-term departure.
