CPSC Recalls 12,830 Children's Tower Stools Over Death Risk After 47 Incidents

About 12,830 children's tower stools sold on Amazon under Wiifo, TOETOL HOME and AMZCMJ DGD were recalled after the CPSC said they can collapse, tip over or trap a child's torso.
Two failure modes drove the April 23 recalls: frames can give way and drop toddlers about 3 feet onto hard floors, while side openings can leave a child's body suspended and create fatal positional asphyxiation risks.
Wiifo accounted for 9,700 units and 22 collapse reports with six injuries; TOETOL HOME covered 3,000 units and 18 reports with 11 injuries; AMZCMJ DGD covered 130 units and seven incidents with four injuries.
Across all three recalls, the CPSC logged 47 incidents and 21 injuries, mostly cuts, scrapes and contusions, but warned the products still pose a risk of serious injury or death.
Consumers were told to stop using the stools immediately, destroy them and send proof to the importers to obtain full refunds.
