SVU Finale Teases Benson-Fin Turn and Tynan Resolution in Season 27's Last Episode

Mariska Hargitay said Law & Order: SVU's Season 27 finale will give Olivia Benson a "beautiful" scene in which Fin steps in as she questions whether she can keep going.
That emotional beat follows a bruising season for Benson, who was held in contempt of court and told by Chief of Detectives Kathryn Tynan to turn in her badge.
Hargitay also said the finale offers "a little bit of resolution" in the Tynan storyline, Benson's central conflict through the season.
Episode 27, titled "Monster," airs May 14 on NBC and centers on a kidnapped boy's case collapsing after a procedural mistake while Griffin moves closer to the truth about Tynan and faces grave danger.
Season 28 is already set for fall on NBC, leaving the finale to close key tensions while preserving room for new twists.
