Charles Dance joined Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan as newly confirmed additions to "The Batman Part II," with Matt Reeves revealing the trio through social-media teases over the past 24 hours.
Reeves has not disclosed their roles, but the casting has intensified speculation around a Harvey Dent storyline; an updated report said Johansson is set to play Dent's wife Gilda, though that remains unverified officially.
Robert Pattinson, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, Jayme Lawson and Gil Perez-Abraham were already confirmed to return as Reeves began sharing camera-test material for the sequel.
The film, written by Reeves and Mattson Tomlin, follows the first movie's flood-ravaged Gotham aftermath and is scheduled to reach cinemas on Oct. 1, 2027 after repeated delays.
