$200,000 is now being offered for information leading to the apprehension and prosecution of Monica Witt, a former U.S. Air Force intelligence specialist and counterintelligence agent who remains at large.
Federal prosecutors indicted Witt in 2019, alleging she defected to Iran in 2013 and transmitted national defense information, including intelligence tied to undercover U.S. personnel.
The FBI said her actions endangered U.S. personnel and their families abroad and helped Iran target her former colleagues, benefiting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Witt, 47, is believed to be living in Iran, speaks Farsi and may use aliases including Fatemah Zahra or Narges Witt as the FBI seeks tips through its hotline, embassies and tips website.
