Borderlands 4's latest live patch boosts a broad set of underperforming guns and energy shields, with Daedalus SMGs up 17%, Maliwan SMGs 15%, Tediore pistols 20%, and Order weapons recharging about one-third faster.
Gearbox said the pass is meant to keep slower, harder-hitting weapons competitive after rapid-fire builds benefited more from Vault Hunter passive synergies, with more tuning planned over the next several weeks.
Specific winners include the Bully pistol's drone at +66% damage with half the cooldown, Budget Deity firing 66% faster, and DLC guns such as Unstable Kor at +45% damage and +50% fire rate and Mercredi at +50% damage.
The main nerf hits the Roulette pistol, whose base damage falls 15%, fire rate 37.5%, and fire-rate bonus 75% as Gearbox reins in bonuses that became too strong after earlier randomness was removed.
Legendary energy shields also get help against armor shields, including a 400% shock-damage boost for Sparky and an 86% capacity increase for the Daedalus Angel, ahead of free bosses Subjugator and Thol the Invincibles on May 28.
