Michael Irvin, 60, urged critics to “leave it alone,” saying outsiders do not know what Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini are dealing with as scrutiny over leaked photos intensifies.
The backlash followed images from a March outing at an Arizona luxury hotel that showed the pair holding hands and hugging; additional photos have since surfaced.
Vrabel called the images a “completely innocent interaction” and said any other suggestion was laughable, while Russini said the photos omitted a larger group of six people together that day.
The fallout has already widened: Russini resigned from The Athletic, and Vrabel stepped away from the Patriots during the final round of the NFL Draft indefinitely to seek counseling and be with his family.
