June 11 will bring 13 seasons and 175 episodes of Doctor Who’s 2005-2022 run exclusively to AMC+ in the U.S., making the service the franchise’s new streaming home.
AMC+ said the deal is meant to deepen its premium genre lineup and pull in both longtime fans and new viewers through one of TV’s most durable sci-fi brands.
The package spans Doctors played by Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi and Jodie Whittaker, covering the modern era first aired in the UK between 2005 and 2022.
Doctor Who marks 20 years since its U.S. debut this year, giving AMC+ a well-known franchise with BAFTA and Peabody recognition as streaming platforms compete for loyal fandoms.
