JD Vance said the administration has “a lot of work to do” on the economy after Donald Trump drew backlash for saying Americans’ financial situation was not driving his push for an Iran deal.
Tuesday’s inflation report showed the highest reading since May 2023, with the Iran war lifting energy costs and the national average gasoline price topping $4.51 a gallon.
