CompTIA projects Las Vegas metro tech employment will rise 4% in 2026, adding 1,529 jobs and lifting the local tech workforce to nearly 40,000.
Nevada is forecast to post the fastest state tech-job growth in the country at 4.2%, while the national rate is projected at 1.9% and all 50 states are expected to gain jobs.
Las Vegas tech workers earn a median $92,509—107% above the metro median for all occupations—and the region has more than 4,300 tech establishments contributing an estimated $8.4 billion to Nevada's economy.
CompTIA said demand is being driven by investment in AI, cybersecurity, data analytics and infrastructure, with more than 275,000 U.S. job postings in January referencing some level of AI skills.
The report adds to signs of a broadening Southern Nevada startup ecosystem, including biotech and university-linked innovation efforts highlighted recently at UNLV Innovation Day.
