Stephen Colbert said on the Strike Force Five podcast that Michelle Williams was the Late Show guest who most threw him off, recalling he "didn't know what to do with my eyeballs" during her first 2019 appearance.
Jimmy Kimmel prompted the confession by asking whether any guest had ever been so attractive that Colbert found the interview distracting; Colbert said Williams' beauty left him trying not to look at her directly.
The disclosure came as Colbert, 62, heads into the final week of The Late Show, which CBS said last July it was canceling for financial reasons.
Tuesday's episode leaned into that farewell mood: Colbert kissed Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Pedro Pascal on air after joking that his lips "will soon be free," adding to a list of past on-screen kisses with guests.
The podcast exchange also widened beyond Williams, with Colbert naming Rachel Weisz, Rebecca Ferguson and Andrew Garfield among other guests he found distractingly beautiful.
