Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster appeared at Cannes on Wednesday for a 25th-anniversary celebration of “The Fast and the Furious,” tied to a midnight screening of the 2001 original.
Cannes is using the event to help fill a lineup with few Hollywood titles, giving the blockbuster franchise an outsized presence at this year’s festival.
Meadow Walker, the 27-year-old daughter of late star Paul Walker, joined the cast in Cannes; Walker died in a 2013 Los Angeles car crash.
The 10-film series has grossed more than $7 billion worldwide, and Universal plans an 11th installment, “Fast Forever,” for release in March 2028.
