Sky Fiber Begins Fiber Network Build in Eureka County as Nevada Pushes Rural Broadband

Crews have started building a new fiber-optic network in Eureka County, with service set to roll out in phases as sections of the project are completed.
Sky Fiber, a Northern Nevada provider serving rural areas for more than 20 years, is expanding after nearly a decade of offering wireless internet in the county.
The company said the fiber build will deliver faster, more consistent connections for remote work, online learning, streaming and daily operations, while coordinating with Eureka County and state regulators during construction.
The project sits within the High Speed Nevada Initiative, a statewide effort to extend reliable high-speed broadband to underserved rural communities.
