13 students with intellectual disabilities became the first graduates of the UB-Inditex Chair’s inclusive employment course at the University of Barcelona, completing two microcredentials focused on customer service and fashion retail management.
300 hours of training underpinned the program — 200 hours of theory and 100 hours of practical work in Inditex stores in Barcelona, Terrassa and Vic — after the course ran from October 2025 to February 2026.
The initiative is designed to improve access to jobs in the fashion sector, with teaching delivered by the University of Barcelona’s IL3 and Faculty of Psychology.
UB, Inditex and disability group Dincat jointly backed the program, with Dincat helping select students and supporting them during store placements through its Supported Employment program.

With a 2% hiring quota often ignored, how can Spain compel more companies to follow Inditex's lead on inclusive employment?
