Android Rolls Out AI Contextual Suggestions to Pixel 10 Series on Play Services 26.18

Pixel 10 phones running Android 16 and stable Google Play services 26.18 are starting to show a new "Contextual suggestions" setting, enabled by default under Settings > [name] > All services > Other.
On-device AI uses activity and location data to predict helpful actions—such as suggesting a gym playlist or prompting users to cast Saturday sports to a living-room TV at the usual time.
Google says the feature runs in an encrypted space on the device, with the underlying data never leaving the phone or being shared with apps or Google unless users separately grant permission.
Users can turn off device location or delete all stored data, while apps can access only the predictions, not the raw behavioral data behind them.
The rollout appears limited for now: it has been spotted on the Pixel 10 series, including the 10a, but not on older Pixels or Android 17 beta builds, and Google has not formally announced it.
