Penta Group Lays Off 37 Staffers Across U.S. and Europe

Thirty-seven Penta Group employees were cut Tuesday, including 27 in the U.S. and 10 in Europe, according to two people familiar with the layoffs.
Staff were told late Monday to work from home Tuesday and keep calendars open; a follow-up email said affected employees would receive meeting invites by 8:30 a.m.
Most cuts hit domestic offices at the public affairs firm, which operates in seven countries across North America, Europe and Asia.
Penta, rebranded in 2022 after a merger spree, said in March 2023 that a later acquisition had lifted headcount to more than 350 professionals.
The layoffs come less than a year after Shamrock Capital acquired the private-equity-backed firm in August, touting plans to continue Penta's rapid growth.
