On Wednesday's "The View," Whoopi Goldberg said the U.S. looks "de-balled" and "deeply unserious" after Donald Trump said he does not think about Americans' financial situation during Iran war negotiations.
Trump's Tuesday comment — "Not even a little bit" — came when he was asked whether he considers household finances, as he said stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon is the only thing that matters.
Goldberg and her co-hosts argued the remark showed indifference to Americans hurt by the war's economic fallout and reinforced an image of weak, unserious leadership that could embolden foreign adversaries.
She widened that critique to Trump's team, citing recent Atlantic reporting on FBI Director Kash Patel and saying vacancies and turmoil at agencies including the CDC make it feel like "no one is in charge."
