Episode 7 of the fifth and final season kills off Frenchie, with Homelander murdering him after he sacrifices himself to draw the Supe away from Kimiko.
Tomer Capone said he still has not watched the death scene, calling Frenchie the longest-running character of his career and describing the shoot as unusually quiet and spiritual.
Capone said he was not surprised by Frenchie’s fate because the cast sensed where season 5 was heading, and he called the character the show’s empathy and compassion.
One episode remains in Prime Video’s series, and Capone said Episode 8 will "blow" fans’ minds after a death that removes one of the drama’s main emotional anchors.
