A Democratic bid to force an end to US involvement in the Iran war failed 49-50 in the Senate, the seventh such defeat since the conflict began in February.
Three Republicans — Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins and Rand Paul — joined nearly all Democrats, while John Fetterman opposed the measure and the rest of the GOP present voted no.
