Leaks point to Samsung unveiling the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 in summer 2026—likely July 22—with 5G support and Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear Elite chip.
The watch is expected to launch in two cellular versions, 4G and 5G, with availability varying by region, making 5G the headline upgrade over the current Ultra.
Snapdragon Wear Elite, announced at MWC 2026, is built on a 3 nm process and is pitched for faster AI tasks, better efficiency and lower latency in on-device features.
Other rumored upgrades include improved health sensors, broader AI health tracking and 64 GB storage, while the rugged 47 mm design, titanium case and sapphire protection are expected to stay largely unchanged.
Pricing has not leaked, but estimates center near the current $649.99 model as Samsung prepares the watch to debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8.
With its power-hungry 5G chip, can the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 finally overcome the persistent battery life problem in smartwatches?
Despite its impressive new features, why do some analysts predict Samsung's market share will actually fall after this launch?
