Three new T'au Empire detachments give the faction fresh tools for Warhammer 40k 11th edition, especially ways to spot and shoot enemies that would otherwise stay Hidden in terrain.
A 9-inch detection boost comes from the Advanced Acquisition Cadre's Unmasking Suite, while Auxiliary Cadre units can prey-mark targets within 12 inches to add 3 inches of detection range.
Those support pieces also get tougher to remove: Pathfinders and Stealth Suits can remain Hidden after shooting, gain +1 armor save in the enemy shooting phase, and let nearby Kroot or Vespid shoot while staying concealed.
The third option, Experimental Prototype Cadre, shifts toward firepower by adding 6 inches of range to Battlesuit Character weapons and stacking more damage buffs.
The reveal suggests 11th edition's melee-friendly terrain and 15-inch default detection limits may be less punishing for T'au shooting armies, though the faction still appears vulnerable once enemies reach close combat.
