  • $4,499.99 buys Sony’s new A7R VI, a June-launch flagship that pairs a 66.8-megapixel full-frame stacked sensor with up to 16 stops of dynamic range.
  • That stacked design, combined with a new Bionz XR2 processor, enables blackout-free bursts up to 30 fps, faster electronic-shutter readout and stronger video performance than prior A7R models.
  • 8K video at 30p uses the full sensor width with no crop, while 4K reaches 120p; Sony says improved heat management allows up to two hours of continuous 8K recording.
  • Sony also added Real-time Recognition AF+, a 9.44 million-dot OLED viewfinder, up to 8.5 stops of in-body stabilization and a new NP-SA100 battery rated for 710 shots.
  • The price is $600 above the A7R V’s 2022 debut, extending the recent rise in Sony flagship body pricing that the report links partly to U.S. tariffs.
