Apple Watch Series 12 is rumored to bring its biggest practical upgrade in years, with satellite connectivity, a new chip and Apple Intelligence-driven health features expected in the fall.
A new T8320 processor would break from the largely unchanged CPU used in Series 9, 10 and 11, promising quicker app launches, better on-device AI performance and improved battery efficiency.
Satellite support could extend features already available on Apple Watch Ultra and iPhone, including Emergency SOS, Find My and Messages off-grid; Amazon last month said its Globalstar deal preserves Apple satellite service for future watches.
Apple is also reportedly preparing a denser Ultra-style modular watch face and new Health app coaching tools tied to Apple Intelligence, while Touch ID now looks unlikely after a leaker said Apple chose battery and sensor space instead.
With recent models offering mostly iterative changes and Series 11 starting at $399, even partial delivery on these features could give existing users a stronger reason to upgrade.
