Tuesday’s episode saw Colbert kiss Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Pedro Pascal after both guests joked they were jealous of his on-air smooch with Jimmy Fallon the night before.
Louis-Dreyfus had Colbert replay the Fallon clip before leaning in, and Pascal later followed with his own kiss, prompting Colbert to joke that his “lips will soon be free.”
The bit grew out of Monday’s reunion with Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver and Seth Meyers, when a game segment ended with Fallon and Colbert unexpectedly locking lips.
Colbert said he has also kissed guests including Sally Field, Helen Mirren, Allison Janney, Jeff Daniels and Andrew Garfield during his CBS run, which ends with a final episode on May 21.
