Tyler Fairman died in hospital on Tuesday after suffering life-threatening injuries when a Vauxhall Astra hit five pedestrians in Arnold shortly before 01:10 BST on Saturday.
His death has turned the case into a murder investigation, Nottinghamshire Police said, as officers continue supporting Fairman’s family and the other people injured in the collision.
Duane Anthony, 40, was charged on Monday with five counts of attempted murder as well as aggravated vehicle taking, driving while disqualified and driving without valid insurance.
