Judith Light confirmed on the TODAY Show that she appears in Marvel Studios' Disney+ special 'The Punisher: One Last Kill,' after months of set-side speculation.
Trailer footage shown during the interview strongly suggested Light is playing Ma Gnucci, one of Frank Castle's best-known comic-book enemies and a character never used in Netflix's 'The Punisher.'
Light said Jon Bernthal co-wrote the special with Reinaldo Marcus Green and that the production was shot in 12 days, praising both the script and the crew.
The casting adds a five-decade screen and stage veteran to the MCU as Marvel expands Bernthal's return to the role after his 2016 debut, two-season spinoff and comeback in 'Daredevil: Born Again.'
