Carrie Underwood said there is “no beef” with Nikki Glaser, pushing back on fan claims that the two clashed during a recent Taylor Swift-themed “American Idol” episode.
1 Instagram post praising Glaser fueled more scrutiny after viewers said Underwood appeared to side-eye the comedian and avoid looking at her during the live show.
Underwood told radio host Cody Alan that people try to create conflict whenever “two ladies” are in the same room, and called Glaser “wonderful” in the guest-judge role.
Underwood, who joined the judging panel in 2025 after winning Season 4 in 2005, used the episode to argue contestants now face harsher online abuse than she did.
